This southern group is a dynamic and versatile band. SouthStar plays a wide range of songs, from country, folk, blues, bluegrass, rock and roll, 50's, 60's, 70's and on up to current material. The five started out together in 1999 and have been working hard on making their music a cut above the rest. SouthStar is working on their third CD featuring original material. They recently wrote a song called: Where Is the Justice for My Child. In support of victim's of violent crimes. SouthStar has performed in the surrounding area for years. Their gigs have included clubs, private parties, and banquets. Last year they performed at the DeSoto Civic Center in front of 1600 music lovers. SouthStar has given back to their community by donating their time and energy, performing at benefits and charities.
