简介

Siren Call - Rose Ashes http://www.sirencallofficial.com Based in Vienna, Austria Siren Call is Bulgarian born Yvonne Lace (vocals, bass), US native Jason de Cordoba (guitar, backing vocals) and Indonesian Resha Kharisma. This multi-international trio works as a unit and has a knack for writing great hooks and bringing a multitude of different flavors to the table. They blend alternative rock with a bit of grunge and melodic pop, adding in emotional vocals to bring their sound to a poetic level. Described as “rock’n’roll poetry”, “Rose Ashes” resembles the sound and lyrics of bands such as Nirvana and The Doors. Frontwoman Yvonne Lace, who is also Siren Call’s lyricist takes the listeners on a journey through her emotional relationship with music, having gone through being a muse to being an artist. Yvonne’s deeply personal lyrics feature enigmatic imagery and metaphors, opening with “I used to be a crystal melting into sound”, then going on a wild ride of the loss of innocence like “a moth attracted to the light” and finally finding herself a “wild rose, that survives the winter.” Lyrics: I used to be a crystal, melting into sound I let myself be soft, so I can be heat-bound. So I can visit places, which used to leave me burnt But gave me choking pleasure I need not to return. I used to be a moth attracted to the light That wants to dive in heat, instead it finds a fight. The fire -- cheap reflection, of what I thought was pure. Of what is both my poison and my cure. Wild Roses Survive the winter. Survive the pain. The acid rain. I am a rose with petals, which sometimes pick up dirt. It comes as no surprise it often leaves me hurt. The petals with the bruises, they often come to fall. But then to take their place new petals grow. ----- Rose Ashes performed, Copyright and Written by Siren Call All rights reserved Written by Yvonne Lace, Jason de Cordoba, Gàbor Szabò and Harold Taylor Performed by Siren Call with Gàbor Szabò Produced and Recorded by Harold Taylor at VMC Studios and Verein IKP
