Nino Astronauta is the progressive continuation of an international Electronic Music movement started a few years ago in Tijuana, Mexico by the Nortec Collective. Having crossed the border, both nationally & stylistically, this powerful trio - comprised by Tati (Bass), Arhkota (Drums) & Nashio (Keys/Laptop) - continues to explore musical fusion via electronics but relies more on live instrumentation than adding obscure Norteno samples over dance beats. Ending up somewhere between Nu-Jazz, Jazz Fusion, House, Breakbeat genres the result of their self-titled debut is truly something unique and fresh. Having already shared stages with some of the biggest and most revered Electronic & Latin-Alternative artists (Kinky, Ozomatli, Bajofondo Tangoclub, Supreme Beings Of Leisure, Aphex Theory, Aterciopelados, Ely Guerra, Cecilia Noel, Fax, Jumbo, Erica Garcia, Pastilla, La Gusana Ciega, Zurdok, Andrea Echeverri, Los Abandoned, Gran Silencio, Ojos De Brujo, Volovan, Superlitio), Nino is now ready to embark on their own journey and lead.
