Performed by Antonio Adolfo's quartet with a Brazilian Jazz interpretation, showing tunes written by one of the most important Brazilian composers of all times: Mrs Chiquinha Gonzaga. CG was one beautiful example of great musician/composer combining her talent with a controversial and wonderful life history. Her compositions presented in this album present different early popular Brazilian styles, such as Lundu, Maxixe, Choro and Marcha. She was also a Carnaval pioneer.
