Born in Langley, British Columbia, Amarie started singing at an early age in her parents' church, and then went on to receive professional coaching at the age of 13. In 2008 she started recording her debut album, "My Reflection" which was finished in early 2010. The influences in this album were based around what was happening in her life at the time each song was written.

Currently, Amarie resides in Surrey, British Columbia and is attending university to obtain her degree in Fine Arts.
