"Illucid" is comprised of hard hitting, yet melodic sonic displays for the listener. The opening track, "Left Behind" plows through the speakers from the second it begins. A beautifully harmonized verse and a bellowing chorus give way to an out-of-left-field-yet-suiting talkbox infused solo section. The verses of "A.I." are reminiscent of the glory days of punk with the singer shouting a message the whole world should hear. The album then takes a turn to a more melodic feel with "Grow"; The verse beat and melody are infectiously catchy until breaking in to intense riffage and a radio worthy chorus; then ending with a sludgy, moshpit churning breakdown. If there is one song the radio stations should have in regular rotation, it's the fourth track; "Here And Gone." Everything from the hooky guitar lead, lyrics, chorus, solos and overall construction of the tune grabs the listeners attention and does not let go. Although, "Salvation Street" begs the same attention with it's slightly more epic feel and powerful message. Lyrically, the song sums up most of Indolent's sentiment on this work. Finally, In classic thrash metal styling, the E.P. ends with their fastest and most punk infused track, "Guilty Blood." In true punk fashion, it's a to-the-point song aggressively touching on the senselessness and corruption associated with war for money and religion.
