Formed in 2007 this emerging trio follows from the start the less conventional approach to jazz music: working in synergy as a team with no specific leader is the concept that lies within the three members, the music is composed by 3io for 3io and its performance is a pure reflection of the band's personal voice. The sound of the trio is quite haunting with moments of high energy where intricate arrangements emerge. Through the years appreciation from the audience helped the band establish it's own sound and creativity, especially the less acquainted with the traditions of "jazz" music.

"CONCEPTION" (2008) is their debut album and second album "DEPARTURE LOUNGE" (2010) strengthens the trio's path and personal voice.

It was at the end of summer 2010 that 3iO met music producer Marco Gallerani, who was friends with bass player Juan Manuel. He came across 3io's music and immediately felt inspired by the idea of collaborating with the band. The new repertoire envisioned for concept album "BACK TO NEW ROOTS" (HellYeah 2011) bonds together the band's appreciation for electronic music with a track-list that describes at best the period of its birth. "BLINDFOLD" (2013) is where the real sound of 3iO comes to life, the maturity of the compositions and playing mixed with the right bond of three players that walk a side together.
