After his widely beloved Feel the sun EP in Mai 2013, japanese producer Yoshiyuki Ota returns with a whole album. This time, his sharp-cut Retro-Ambient-House is sonically mirrored by the voice of singer Maco Akoda. Emerald & Doreen Records feels like a brain machine. Imagine a time where people used to watch video tapes. Imagine these people talking about a new utopian space called the cyberspace. Japanese producer Yoshiyuki Ota gets it all sonically done. In collaboration with singer Maco Akoda from Amagasaki, Ota releases is first album for Emerald & Doreen Records: eight tracks times 4 remixes makes the perfect early nineties electro-geometry. Introduced by the disciplined arpeggio-attack of Night Owl and then followed by the cloudy house of Midsummer Rain, the album comes to a first break by the means of Gentle Song. Here, Maco Akoda`s aerial voice pours itself beyond this world for the first time, chanting about the alikeness of two souls. Following Yoshiiyuki Ota`s initial idea for the album, Night Addiction with its straightforward bassdrum pushes turns rainy days into sunny dancenights. The fantastic scenery of Fate features Maco Akoda`s voice once more. At the end, Deep Sea, Walking Down The Blue Street and September Dusk stay with the melancholic, yet easy vibe. This is house unbottened! Coming along with remixes by 7mirror (turning Night Addiction into pure bass bliss), Staticman (donating some holligolightly cheesyness to Night Owl), Clem Right (transforming Deep Sea into a handclap-and-a-drone), and Ullapul (who turn Fate into a downbeat drama).
