Recorded in the snow of January 2010, One for the living was born out of many hours of rehearsing, and sleepless nights. The songs on the album are quite different from the previous 4 Tortilla Army albums. The music has adopted a much heavier, grungier sound. Since the introduction of Joe Coomes on guitar, the band have gone in a new direction. Embracing the rock sound of Seatle, and the blues sound of the deep south, and fusing them together to make a unique fresh genre.

Jim Noble on lead vocal has been compared to Mike Patton on many occasions. His clean multi octave range is a refreshing change from the screamo sound that has plagued our music collections over the last few years.

One for the living, is a true representation of how Tortilla Army sound in the real world. This is because the album was tracked live. The benefits of recording all the intruments at the same time, is evident in the fresh alive sound of the album. Dovetailed by the production talents of Dan Lucas of Anchorbaby Recordings and and Oz Graggs of Hidden Track studios, this album is one for all collections.
