This album was inspired by a 3 month holiday in Maui, Hawaii. With references to the summer, the sand and the sea it seemed like a good way of creating a collection of memories and stories that were the inspiration behind the album. The album consists of a variety of styles from slow love songs to a more up beat and quirky style with soaring solos to rocking rhythms. The album closes with an old Irish ballad, a cover by Luke kelly entitled Raglan Road. Alhough the album was inspired by a foreign land, it seems as though Rory does not forget where he comes from.
