After three years in the making, today marks the official release of ‘Bagcwele; a celebration anthem that boasts Teejay’s achievements since the release of his 2020 single, ‘Chosen One’ alongside DJ Speedsta and Yanga Chief. The track marked a significant point in his life as the artist charted for the first time and has maintained an upward trajectory ever since. ‘Bagcwele ngam’ is the Zulu translation for “They’re proud of me”. He triumphs over his accomplishments in the song’s chorus as he expresses, “Check the charts mama, Bangwele ngam!”

The song's production can be credited to Tr!x Thykingdom and Sixby9ine, a really talented rising Hip-Hop DJ. Teejay Mokoena and Sixby9ine mutual decision to create and release the single together is credited to them both being from Mpumalanga, therefore, this is their way of flying the flag high.
