Joel Z is a songwriter based in NYC. Joel got his start as a songwriter/performer in the city playing at venues including The Way Station, The Living Room, Caffe Vivaldi, Four Faced Liar, Joe's Pub, Path Cafe. Influences include Donald Fagen, Joe Jackson, Boz Scaggs, Randy Newman, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Mose Allison, Billy Joel, Hoagy Carmichael and many others. Joel's first album Down On Jones Street was produced by Craig Dreyer at Mighty Toad Studios in Brooklyn, NY. Joel is planning a record release full-band show in NYC in 2017.
