Genres: Pop, Christian & Gospel Singer/songwriter Kelly Minter released her sophomore project Wrestling the Angels in the fall of 2003. Produced by Margaret Becker and Paul Buono, the acoustic pop album is similar in style to the early music of Susan Ashton as well as Becker's later projects. Wrestling the Angels was released three years following Minter's debut album, Good Day. Minter pointed to the three-year gap — in which she had no record contract — as a time of song and journal writing that was not aimed at a specific project. Because of this, she was able to write from her heart without any outside expectations. The results laid the foundation for the 11 songs on Wrestling the Angels. Songs include the peaceful "Shade" and upbeat "Miss You Here."
