Michael Terry, a resident of Washington, DC for the past decade, recently returned to his home town of Cleveland, Ohio and fullfulled a long deferred dream and recorded some of his favorite compositions with the help of his “Friends.” His gift of music was recognized at an early age and being raised as a “PK” (preachers kid), in the Church of God In Christ, it was not uncommon in his church background that he would be challenged to pursue the call of his life. With the love and support of his parents, Elder William and Mary Terry, he was encouraged to further his education and as stated in II Timothy 2:15. He studied to show himself approved unto God. He received his formal training in Cleveland and also at Howard University in DC. Thru these institutes of excellence, Michael’s gift was greatly enhanced, making him one of the most prolific and talented musicians of this day. He has been blessed to travel the United States and Europe, sharing his message of the Gospel. He has accompanied many well known artist, such as Ann Nesby of The Sounds of Blackness, and many, many more. Just recently he travelled to Germany, serving as a guest clinician for their Gospel Music Festival., where he received rave reviews. The door was opened for Michael to return to his roots in Cleveland. Contacting an aggregation of highly annointed singers, he formed “Friends”. Each singer is a minister in their own rights, believed in Michael’s dream and agreed without hesitation to work on his project. This labor of love became a reality and “In The Spirit”, was completed. Friends have worked together for many years on different occasions, so the blend, the fellowship and most importantly, the love of the Lord reflects in the finished product. It is our belief that this musci is for such a time as this.
