YN ENT made their first debut in 1993, at age 13, in an average size projects in zone 3 Atlanta, Ga. The song consisted of his little brother Boss Yi and was recorded by Jeff aka Jazz. Just being young and curious, that experience motivated them to go further. They went on later to form a group call Born Dead in 1995 that consisted of him and 3 more artists. At that time, Boss Nard went by the name Undertaker. It was him, Mr. Nobody, Travis and Boss Yi. The group was an instant success. With Liela Valley being a major project in Atlanta, they gain support from Thomasville, Four Seasons, Carver Holmes, Jonesboro South, Jonesboro North, Joy land, Lakewood, Summerhill, Bankhead and many more communities in Atlanta.....The group main single was ‘Lets Ride’. It quickly gain some buzz and radio exposure on V 103. With the exposure and song on the radio, the promoters were calling about shows and them headlining the show. They headlined Club Nikki, Club Single, Birthday Bash (South Bend Park) and many more. A highlight of his Born Dead era was the night they performed at the Atrium with Cash Money in the presence of Outkast, Goodie Mobb, Too Short and many more. Because of their status, Born Dead was able to mingle back stage with everyone. With $6,000 chains on and hopping out of stretch hummer, Born Dead could have been considered the main attraction that night. They quickly showed the people who had it. Although the music scene was going well, Boss Nard was still living in Leila Valley Projects selling drugs and being a victim of his environment. Because this was a time when the drug war in Atlanta was very strong, violence was on the rise. Atlanta quickly gained the title Murder Capital. With the streets getting out of control with the drug war, tension was on the rise. Boss Nard ended up catching an aggravated assault charge. After 2 years of sitting in prison, Boss Nard got out with a different mentality. He realized that it is best to be a boss and put his own money behind it. In 2004, him and Boss Yi decided to start their own company and formed Y N Entertainment. The first couple of years were spent recording songs and learning the business... With the sound of Atlanta changing and the recession kicking in, Boss Nard was force to reevaluate his overall marketing strategy. It wasn't too long after that he linked up with Streetzone DVD and Grind Media for a visual marketing campaign. Being one of the first artist in Atlanta to take advantage of the visual wave, They quickly started getting shows all thru the city at multiple places such as the Libra, Crucial, City Life, Da Yard and many more. They did shows in Tennessee, Macon, Alabama and more. They started shooting videos in 2009 as the platform YouTube became common. As time went on, the campaign reached from the Bronx up in NY all the way down to New Orleans in Louisiana. Boss Nard just recent drop his Ep call Original Atlanta on ITunes, Rhapsody, Spotify and Pandora. He has 4 Official video up and shooting more as you read this.
