Baritone Kyle Ferrill has sung a vast repertoire spanning from Monteverdi to modern day. His special areas of interest are Baroque chamber music, German lieder, American art song, and new music. Orchestral soloist appearances have included the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's. Festivals have included Tanglewood, Songfest, Oregon Bach Festival, Idaho Bach Festival, and the Steans Institute at the Ravinia Festival. Conductors have included Stefan Asbury, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Keith Lockhart, Helmuth Rilling, Robert Spano, and John Williams. Ferrill has collaborated with many living composers, including David Bruce, Ricky Ian Gordon, John Harbison, and Jake Heggie. Ferrill is assistant professor of voice and opera at the University of Idaho. He regularly concertizes with his wife, mezzo Lexa Ferrill, and the two will be recording an all-Argento disc for release on Centaur Records. For more information, visit www.kyleferrill.com.
