Transit has one goal: to make music that is drawn from real life situations and presented with a level of honesty not often found in music today. Matthew (vox, guitars, keys) and Trevor (guitar, keys) first began playing together in the summer of 2000. After a few years of honing their craft, both decided to move on and continue their academic endeavors. However, they both kept their eyes open for the right opportunity, and more importantly, the right people to become available. Dell (bass) was also looking to form a group that was close to his indie-rock roots. Placing an ad in a local paper looking for a singer, Dell instead found a drummer in Anthony (percussion). Anthony's commanding percussion style blended perfectly with Dell's bass playing. When Matthew met Dell and Anthony in late 2003, he knew that opportunity was again knocking. Trevor joined soon after; finalizing the line-up and Transit was born.
