One of Tromsoe's finest sons Doc L. Junior steps up to the Paper plate with his first EP for the label. A cornerstone of the Norwegian scene since the early 90s he first appeared on the Robodisco compilation with How Ya Doin' in 2000 and more recently has made star appearances on Trash The Wax and remixing for Flash Atkins. Twilight has his usual leftfield mix of house, disco and dub wrapped around sleazy beats and a cheeky smile. With crowd samples starting the party, the arp gets wonked out before stripping back to the bass and mellowing out to some chords for the sunshine. In Norway they call it "Skrangle House" or "One Legged Disco" but all we know is that it rocks and sparkles with originality. Finnish deep house electro bod Jori Hulkkonen is on the remix and turns in an understated piece of class. With the 80s running through it's veins it has shimmering pads, strings and analogue arps as the melody tweeks and burbles away. But put this on a big rig and there's plenty of bang for your buck.
