A native of New Haven, CT the Elm City. Kenneth's musical roots are gospel and he credits God for his talents and abilities. Growing up in a musical family, he has been exposed to music all of his life, its in his genes. Largely self-taught, his first musical influences were his aunts, cousin, and his father Bishop Matthew Barber. His musical journey has taken him to many venues, playing many genres. He is an accomplished composer, producer, keyboardist, vocalist and drummer. Kenneth has been a part of three recording projects with One Love Music group for which he wrote the majority of the music. He recently released his first independent project “Life’s Journey” which Barber identifies as urban meditation music, music that heals and soothes the soul. This collection of instrumental tracks has a little bit of something for everyone and every occasion. Kenny as he is known by family and friends, enjoys making music, and mostly enjoys seeing people’s responses and the impact music had on people. He knows the difference that music can make in someone's life, its been a postive factor in his own life. Best advice he's been given - When you put God first, all things work out.
