New Hampshire musician, songwriter, educator, and humorist, Craig Werth, has been performing at coffeehouses, folk festivals, concert halls, and schools (from kindergarten to college) for a buhzillion years. He serves as accompanist and co-arranger for two-time Juno Award winner, David Francey of Canada. He also brings buckets of experience as a counselor, teacher, outreach caseworker, builder of musical instruments, and family man to his writing and performing. Craig's compositions explore topics ranging from natural wonders like whales, dinosaurs, and zucchinis, to relationships, parenting, his Newfoundland heritage and Long Island childhood. He performs primarily with voice, guitars, Celtic-style bouzouki, and appalachian mountain dulcimer. * Co-producer, arranger, instrumentalist for David Francey's CD -- "Right of Passage" - 2007. * First Place Winner Prescott Arts Acoustic Songwriting contests for both "When I Go" and "Something In Us All" (judged by acoustic-folk DJs and music professionals from Maine and New Hampshire.) * Special Guest for artists including David Francey, Chris Smither, Cliff Eberhardt, Neil and Leandra, Kevin So, and Christine Lavin. * Featured on Volume I of the "Seacoast Songwriters" Sampler CD. produced by Harvey Reid and released in November of 2001. * Featured by Christine Lavin on her annual radio show on New York's WFUV radio. * Published writing includes an essay in the book "Soul of the Sky: The Human Side of Weather" (along with essays by Sebastian Younger and Annie Dillard).
