Deep Violet Records is a small independent label set up specifically for Christian music works of all kinds, regardless of style. We cover everything from Motown grooves through to classical, with a growing portfolio of artists from all walks of life. DVR is contract-free; this is because we recognise that there is a lot of young talent that needs a chance to get a song made and professionally mastered and released, without the difficulties of contractual obligations, which many in the current financial climate find difficult to honour. At the same time, DVR is not in the business of exploiting that talent - preferring instead to focus on the message and story of the writers and artists. DVR believes everyone ought to have access to at least one chance in a lifetime of doing something worthwhile with their writing and composing, without the hassle and stresses of regular music industry forces at work around them. A pearl is small, but precious. This is how we like to treat our clients and their work.
