简介
Muddyloop are Metro Williams and Blonde Peterson - two eccentric characters trapped in their sick obsession of producing and writing sexualised electronic music. It’s quirky, individual fun pop songs based around classic synthesizer lines, crisp modern beats and the warped lyrical world of Blonde and Metro. It’s the sonic equivalent of receiving an eclectic mixtape from an anonymous admirer. Independently released through their muddyTRAX Recordings imprint, Muddyloop finally burst onto the modern scene like a silver DeLorean from the eighties with their debut album 'Flight Night'. Two years in the making and straight from their bedroom studios, Blonde and Metro have moulded a blisteringly fun and catchy debut which manages to rock the retro whilst traveling the future funk-tastic. Guaranteed to leave blazing tire marks on your ears! Taking straight off the runway with dancey little numbers like the Michael-Jackson-with-balls ‘I Could Do Things 2 U’ and the synthy electro-soul of ‘Bodysweat’, the album’s ten tracks cut across the spectrum of modern electronic music. Bubblegum vanity pop (‘Hairstyle’ unbelievably is a homage to Blonde’s hair), and hip hop swagger (the tongue’n’cheek ‘Girl On Girl') slips gently into bed with stormy love ballads (the Linn-beat John Carpenter-esque ‘Lonely Souls Fan Club’) and jerky electro pop (‘80s Love’ and ‘Glamour Magazines’). The minimalist Armageddon of the finale ‘The Last Day On Earth’ reveals the darker more introspective side of Muddyloop - proving that these boys are no one trick (horny) pony.
