简介
Frost, perhaps one of the most infamous indie bands to emerge from Australia's 90's underground, having received high rotation on commercial TV, radio and their unpredictable live shows. The group has had various musicians pass through since their inception, many of whom played in acclaimed bands themselves, such as Jerry Speiser (Men at Work), Rohan Heddle (Cordrazine) and Rachel Parkinson (The Mabels). Similarly, the band had various acclaimed producers work on their songs such as Reggie Bowman (Southern Sons) and Cameron McKenzie (Horsehead), who worked on the self-titled LP distributed through Shock Records in 2005. Early on one of the group's tracks, 'Here I Go' was recorded by the Brian Canham (Pseudo Echo) and Darren Danielson (Chocolate Starfish) band, 'Brill' for their self-titled 1997 debut album. Although the band its self has been praised amongst their peers they've had very little commercial success. One could argue that it's due to their uncompromising artistic stance... or their inability to keep a standard artist format within the group's infrastructure, nevertheless, one thing is certain and that is their song writing and musicianship.
