简介
At a time when Rap music is predictable with a recycling of content and style, A Breath of Fresh Air bucks the trend. It breathes life on so many levels on Hip Hop. Is it any wonder that O. J. Toks labels his music as Inspirational Hip Hop? His infusion of elements of electronica, classical and other genres of music is likely to make fans describe his style as Inspirational Hip-Pop-Rap-R&B. He brings smooth back to rap using an assortment of smooth, melodic and head-bobbing tracks, while re-presenting his Christian faith, in love, in content and in style. His debut project accomplishes the 4Es of his music: Enlighten, give light; Encourage, give hope; Educate, give knowledge; and Entertain, inspire joy. Toks is able to stamp the fingerprint of his sound on his album because he wrote, arranged, and produced virtually the whole album. Exodus de Alexandria co-produced the song, "I Thought It Was You," which features Gospel/R&B Artist, Ty Francis. Exodus de Alexandria also gets co-production credits for the songs: Xpktn, My Lover, God's Playas and Wake Up. Didi, a Contemporary Christian Artist, lends her beautiful voice to the song, "Woman of Substance." Toks also collaborated with the Christian rappers J-Real, ColCutz, and Sir Walter Scott III on the song, "We Can Do This."
