简介
The Service were founded in Milwaukee, back in 1992 after a local band, The Statics, decided to call it a day. They met Spanky and with this new vocalist they were The Service. The Service are well known in and around the brew-city. They played with bands and names like Dee Dee Ramone, Offspring, Dropkick Murphys, The Business, Oxymoron, Rancid, Anti Heroes and many more. Their sound is hard to describe. If you take a good rock«n«roll basis put some streetpunk into it and shake it all well with an outstanding, head kicking voice, then you got an idea what they sound like. They started with a self produced debut 7" called "American Graffiti" followed by their second release, the "Young and strong" 7" on DSS. Next up was this album and these 13 tracks prove that they are maybe America«s most underrated in streetpunk. Micky Fitz said once in an interview, that if he wants to give an example of good american style Oi!, than it«s the Service. Today they are back home with a new album out on GMM. After "Man's Ruin" they releases another CD on GMM called "Who s criminal". Today the band seems to be split up.
