Sometimes, certain people just seem to click. With The Bust, they have been clicking for a long time, back to their high school days. Friends for almost 10 years, Barry, Rick, Matt, and Dan have been playing- off and on- honing their talents, whether they were together as a group or apart in different bands. They recently put it all back together and, have transformed into one of the truly different sounds in Pittsburgh. With a sound that Aaron Jentzen of the Pgh City Paper calls a mixture of "Who-like adrenaline, quirky R&B, and Big Muff guitar fuzz" or, a sound that is, as Mr. Larry Luther from Mr. Small's Funhouse, put it, "unique as hell," they play to express their everyday feelings and emotions about life and hope that when you listen to these songs, you share those feelings with them.
