简介
These Songs of past performances reflect nature, its loves and losses. Every Song has a reference to a bird in it, as birds are my favorite animals. This album includes a song in Welsh, Adar Man, a most intriguing song, a metaphor for summer's change. It tells the tale about Gwen who is ill, and waiting for a reply from her love from afar. The Birds of the Mountain sent her a message from her love, and asking if she has any message to give to him. Gwen then replies "Short will be my lifetime. Before summer is over I will be amongst soil and gravel." "The Yellow Bird" is a tune borrowed from my friend Andrew who performed a Japanese version of it. I borrowed the tune and created my own words, simply about a walk in the woods, with a yellow bird singing to me. This songs features Margaret Davis from the San Francisco Bay Area on harp. "Have you Seen but a white lily grow" is a beautiful tune of Richard Johnson from a 17th century play of Ben Jonson's. It compares the beauty of a woman to nature. Relax and enjoy this inspiring and uplifting music from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
