I just tell them, "Your children (or students) won't bother you for 30 min's." Works like a charm. Plus, you know that you're getting the very best in children's music when it comes to lyrics, educational value and production quality. Andy again combines his background in education with the lessons of emotional intelligence on his second CD “Excuse Me?” Thoroughout it, essential messages are playfully interwoven with age appropriate lyrics. “Excuse Me?” has been specifically and carefully crafted with 5-8 year old children in mind. Songs like "Live Every Moment" and "I Make Mistakes" span the gaps in elementary school edu-tainment using memorable melodies and fun, catchy lyrics. This CD aids parental goals of instilling respect, self-esteem and positive role modeling - once again showing why Andy is heading to the forefront of today's children's music. Andy – a school teacher with a Berklee School of Music degree – crafts witty, fun songs that hook you in and entertain you, while teaching kids with simple lessons about things like cooperation, responsibility and friendship. He'll bring a smile to your face with catchy tunes you can't help sing along with! Andrew Germain earned a songwriting scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he earned his Bachelors of Music with a songwriting major in 1992. After graduation, Andrew's love for children lead him to teaching music and other subjects in 15 different schools in five different states, Time and again, Andrew was praised by teachers, school administrators and parents for his magical and innate connection with children. Through this extensive experience as a teacher, Germain discovered that 3-5 year olds are his very favorite age to work with, and the one's with which he has the strongest connection. Hence, Andy Glockenspiel was born. In 2000, Andy Glockenspiel taught private music lessons for, and worked with pre-school aged children of celebrities Jane Seymour, Paul Reiser and Kenny G. Then, in 2001 Andy completed his first full-length children's record project entitled, "It's Your Day". Glock has performed approximately 40 shows in New York and L.A. to promote his album. During this time Andy was honored to perform at Manhattan's "Lighthouse International", a school for recently blinded children. In response to the events surrounding "911", he produced a concert with The Family Resolution Center of Sherman Oaks, CA at the Santa Monica Place Mall. Andy's improvised comedy, revved up energy and edu-tainment songs, are what parents time and again have said they love about him. Andy Glockenspiel easily crosses the boarders between the insightful Pop Rock of Summer School, and the contagiously comical Tango, Excuse Me. Andy sings, plays guitar, and the glockenspiel.
