In 2008, with his debut album Blood of a King, Rozie infused 90s Hip-Hop with Gospel, Soul and Jazz. His initial album was so well received; it landed him a feature on Reach Records artist Tedashii’s debut album. Fast forward 2 years later and Rozie was again bringing in a new wave of music with his EP Back To You. With Back To You, Rozie explored different sounds that weren’t traditional to the African American church. By using heavy metal inspired guitar riffs and pop snares, Rozie created a sound that was all his own and developed a core following with his hit single of the same name. Now in 2014, Rozie Turner is back with his long awaited sophomore album Another Chance due out just in time for summer. “With this album I just wanted it to really reflect where I am in life,” Rozie said. “Over the past 6 years I have been through a lot and really wanted to share my experiences, good and bad, with my fans to let them know that no matter how spiritual you are, everyone has those moments where we are grateful to receive another chance from God.” With mind blowing tracks like “Zombieland”, “Blue Skies” and “Angel Girl”; fans of Rozie Turner’s music will definitely get a glimpse of his life along with the positive message that came from it all. “Ultimately my goal is to inspire people out there to just keep going,” Rozie continued. “I love the direction that God took me with this album and I hope that fans will see that it was definitely worth the wait.” With the amazing transparency, production and overall body of work, fans definitely will understand why they waited for Another Chance.
