Rhythm of the Rain is the first new CD from Rice Drewry since 2009. It features 13 original tunes either written or co-written by the artist. The songs are mostly acoustic guitar driven, but feature a fully produced sound, ranging from poignant stories (Entertaining Angels), to get away tunes (I'm Gone). A character's struggle with alcohol (Running) contrasts with an Americana style tune reminiscing in "Back in the Day". Three of the songs are brought to life through the vocals of Six Degrees band mate, Donna Staub, including "Lie You Tell". Other band members feature prominently in several of the recordings as well.
