Somewhere between the realm of the classically trained new age pianists and the sphere of the masters of ambient synthesis lies a musical plain where I would like to dwell. It is a land flowing with melodic substance, crossed by footpaths that lead to the outskirts of rock and jazz. On "What Is It?" I have used the digital piano and other electronic keyboards to explore something of this surreal-sounding terrain.

On my musical journey, I have been blessed to work with a wonderful variety of pop, rock, and blues musicians, to study jazz in college, and to explore a wide variety of musical styles. As a musician, I have been influenced or inspired by the likes of Vangelis, Rick Wakeman, Jack Bruce, Christian hymns, Bob James, Antonin Dvorak, and, no doubt, a whole lot more. "What Is It?" reflects my diverse listening habits and my love of melody. If the result is a kind of sonic stew, then I hope it will satisfy your musical appetite.
