Word from the author of the instrumentation: „Who would not like Dvorak’s spirit in his music. Who would not like Dvorak’s colourful instrumentation, who would not like Dvorak’s Moravian duets which brought him the world’s attention? I will, however, always regret that these beautiful poetic folk songs are usually accompanied only by a piano, and that Dvorak did not arrange them in a similar way as Slavonic Dances, Biblical Songs or Mass in D Major. And I have tried to do so in Dvorak’s style. My musical arrangements, however, are not for a larger orchestra than is the orchestra in Dvorak’s Czech Suite or his Legend.“ Jaroslav Krcek
