简介
In the late 70's, Johnny Jackson recorded on the RCA/Windsong label and performed with his Philadelphia cabaret rock band, Johnny's Dance Band. His follow-up act, Boomer, was short lived in 1979 and went unsigned despite a nicely produced studio album of five original songs titled 'time delay' - now featured as retrospective tracks on the current CD, 'Round trip'. After nearly 30 years as a nationally recognized sculptor, furniture designer, and cabinet maker from West Reading, PA, Johnny has returned to craft many more well made songs written in diverse styles and genres but predominately inspired by influences in his early rock, folk, theatrical and country music heritage. Of these are the eight recent compositions (on the other side of the record) dubbed 'out of the woodwork' - thus completing this comeback effort by a versatile singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, and renaissance man.
