简介
THE SONGS His Mercy Endureth Forever This song came about as I walked into the sanctuary before service one Sunday morning and some of the saints were singing a prayer. I went to the keyboard and found the note, the chords, and began playing along as they prayed. The song and the words just developed from there. "And His Mercy” is designed to help us find the face of God through meditation, praise and worship. Sing to the Lord everyday. The Lord doesn’t judge our voices. Only man does that. Here We Come This Day This song also came out of Sunday praise and worship. I was playing and saw a vision of myself climbing a long flight of stairs. They were steps to the Temple of the Lord. As I neared the top of the stairs the doors opened and suddenly there were people behind me waving banners and praising God. I believe this is the way we should come to the Lord. Climbing higher and higher until we reach His Presence, “Blessing, Him, praising Him, loving Him, and wanting more and more of Him”. Everybody Say Jesus One night my spiritual sister, who’s daughter is my goddaughter, and I were the last ones to leave the church after a choir rehearsal. My goddaughter, who was only two at the time, was singing a song that I didn’t recognize. I went to the piano and asked her to sing the song again. I came up with the arrangement and chords, my sister came up with another verse and “Everybody Say Jesus” was born. The bible says that out of children will come perfect praise. This is definitely an example of that. I particularly like the Jewish folk song sound. Praise Your Name Lord Sometimes when I write songs the music comes first and then the words. God gave me these beautiful chords and gave me the words later. I was going through a storm at the time and I found great comfort in the way the Holy Spirit would comfort me when I was really low. When you are down just call on Jesus. “He’s the One who can help you. His love is everlasting”. As you praise Him you will feel better about your situation. Ain’t God Good? This song was inspired by a call and response phrase that we said at church. The Pastor would say, “Ain’t God Good?” and the congregation would answer, “All the time.” God put the song in me and I love the traditional gospel beat. It’s so fun to sing and you can’t help but tap your toe to this one. Freedom in the Spirit During a prayer service the worship team and I were working hard encouraging the saints to join into the worship. The chords came first and then the phrase “There’s Freedom in the Spirit”. The other verses came easily. Needless to say, everyone joined into the worship that night. The song is so easy and fun to sing. Verses can be made up by anyone as you climb higher and higher in your praise. My God is Good This song highlights some of the holy names of God. These particular characteristics of God were instrumental in getting me through one of the most challenging times of my life. He has proven Himself worthy of all the names that man has for Him. I love knowing the different names because when I pray, I can call on the specific personality trait that fits the situation. One thing I know is that God is Good. He will never fail you. He is a God that will be there no matter what the circumstance. Hallelujah! We Believe One Sunday, my Pastor was challenging the congregation to believe what God has said in the bible and to us individually. “Do you believe?” he would ask us. “We believe!” we would answer. The bass line came as a complement to the response “We believe!” This exciting Song of the Lord projected us into a joyous affirmation of faith. We danced and sang until there was no more doubt. Turn the volume up on this one and get ready to MOVE! CD Review: Dear Pat, I just finished listening to your sparkling new CD. I can't begin to tell you how good your music makes me feel. Lifts me right up to places I thought I couldn't get to anymore. You are a national treasure and your music opens up my heart. Thank you so much. Someone is going to pick this up. It's way too good to be ignored. Congratulations to you and everyone else involved. Put me down as your number one fan. -Thom Hawkins, Former KJAZ Radio Personality THE MANDATE: August 8, 2006 – Apostle Daniel Francis Miss Pat, the Lord is saying that there’s a baby in your womb that’s leaping and He’s saying that it is time, a new season, a new thing that He wants you to guard. Not to look at it as a ministry because you might look at it in the wrong way. It’s something that God has put in your spirit from before the foundation of the world. And it’s time. What grieves me is when the Lord wants me to give a Word like this. People hear it and rejoice, but they don’t do anything about it. But I would pray that you would take this to the Lord and agree with the Man and Woman of this house. The Lord wants you to record. He really does. And He says even as you would begin to seek, knock, and ask, He says, when you do that, the doors will be opened and you will see it. And so…It’s not too late. You’re not too old. You’re not tired. This is the season for you to begin to press in. This is the new dimension that we’ve been describing for the past few days. It’s a place where (I don’t know if I’m confirming or if this is a new thing) but I tell you it’s a new place and it’s a new sound, and it’s a mandate, and I sense urgency. I sense that you need to begin yesterday. Father, in the name of Jesus, there is an anointed sound. This is pure worship. You stir up the prophetic atmosphere. Anybody that has an inkling of the prophetic anointing in their lives, it drives them wild when you begin to touch the keys. So it’s an anointing, it’s not a talent. This is a gift from the Lord and it graces this House. This House really needs that gift. Amen. (End of Word) This CD was completed May 2007 – NINE MONTHS LATER. My missionary friend instructed me that a mandate is, “A command from God. He will move Heaven and Earth to make sure that this command is carried out.” I found great peace in this statement as I went on the journey of creating a CD from start to finish for the first time in my life. I knew, through faith, that this was something the Lord wanted so it would happen no matter what my shortcomings or inexperience. I just had to walk it out. He put wonderful mentors in place and the process was smooth. It was hard work but joyous work. I believe that when you are doing the work God has created you to do, you will be blessed with great joy as you carry out God’s command. Is there something God has asked you to do? If so get started! It is wonderful and rewarding carrying out the will of God.
