简介
Nathan Wheeler offers the folk music world a warm and melodic voice, clear lyrics, singable tunes, and powerful perspectives. Nathan's songs penetrate to the heart of the issues people face in life, providing help and hope for the journey. Whether it's a 10 people gathered in a living room or hundreds of people crowding an outdoor festival, Nathan has experience bringing them all smiles and inspiring musical stories. Nathan has played in various places from New Mexico to Maryland. For example, during several years living in East Texas, Nathan played at Sadlers restaurant, Elmwood Gardens, Pine Knot Music Co-op, Judi's Java Joint, the Dogwood Festival, and the Autumn in the Hollow festival. Nathan's intimate, engaging guitar/vocal performances include a full repertoire of original songs. Also, Nathan covers insightful works from folk, Christian, country, pop, and rock artists providing audiences the pleasure of remembering the music of good times past. Nathan caught the folk music spirit during many days as a child listening to John Denver records. When Nathan picked up his own guitar in high school in Mountain View, Oklahoma, it wasn't long before his own songs began emerging as he played. Ever since then, Nathan has been writing songs to share with others what he has learned through his own life struggles and those of people close to him. As a Christian, Nathan explores the circumstances of life through a faithful, hopeful perspective, pointing audiences to a reassuring confidence in God. While John Denver's style lies in the background of Nathan's music, his own sound reflects the New Folk style that has emerged in recent years. Fans of David Wilcox, Pierce Pettis, Peter Mayer, Chris Rice, Derek Webb, and Andrew Peterson also enjoy Nathan's thoughtful folk acoustic songs.
