"Stage Left" is the debut solo album of Timothy HIggins, principal trombone with the San Francisco Symphony. The disc includes vibrant interpretations of popular trombone literature, as well as lessor known works and transcriptions done by the performer. The pieces on the album are a n excellent representation of Higgins' lyrical and expressive musical personality. Enhancing these characteristics is the extraordinary and powerful piano playing of Sophia Kim Cook. "Stage Left" is an exciting debut recording, the first of many collaborations for these two artists.
