'Golded Up' is the second EP release by Gabrielle's Wish. Originally released on CD in 1996 on Rob Gretton's Manchester Records (Cat No Manc5) , Golded Up carries on where the band's debut self titled EP left off, hard edged post punk with a modern twist.

So hard edged was it, that on its first release, it seemed to leave many people wondering what to make of such an aggressive 'non typical' Manchester Records release.

Rob Gretton built Manchester Records with a view to release more dance orientated music, but on seeing Gabrielle's Wish live, he was so in awe of the pure energy and northern identity of the group he signed them pretty much on the spot.

Not that Gabrielle's Wish are above genre hopping on 'Golded Up', the eerie sounding 'Hood' perfectly captures the Brian Eno influence on the band.
