This year the summer was slow to arrive in Portugal but with him came Herculee, the debut solo project of Herculano Saraiva. Musician by intuition, songwriter by vocation, dilettante, Herculano Saraiva is not an unknown face in the portuguese music scene. Coming from Alvalade neighborhood in Lisbon, Herculano was guitarist in punk-rock band My Friends & I and is currently the lead singer in Emilbus, a Sublime tribute band. Recorded and produced by Miguel Marques (Devil In Me, More Than A Thousand, Twelve2Go, Humble, Easyway) on Generator Music Studios, "Pure Intuition", the so-titled debut album of Herculee is, instinctively, a tribute to some of his main influences. From Bob Marley to Sublime, not forgetting family and friends, "Pure Intuition" is the reflection of an optimistic, positive and persevering individual. Combining rock with acoustic reggae, Herculee unveils the first chapter of an unfinished book that's being written to the flavor of life. Planned to be released by the end of Summer thru Toothless Tiger Records, "Pure Intuition" features special guest appearences by Joana Anta on "No Sorrow", Ivo Palitos on "A Bradley's Day" and "So Long" and from his sister, Sandra Sá Saraiva on "Father". Genuine and meaningful, "Good Music", the first single from "Pure Intuition", summarizes perfectly the debut from Herculee, Good Music!
