Ever since a dear friend and brother in Christ died, I have been asking myself if we will ever really meet again. It's difficult to talk about the loss of my friend. That's why there are songs. The birth and development of these songs is what kept me going through this dark period. I remember the terrible numbness that I experienced and I recoil in fear. I never want to go through anything like that again. Originally, these songs were never meant for public consumption; they were just what I did to ease the pain. I played them to myself, over and over, constantly changing or refining them, until they were part of my being. I dedicate this record to the memory of my friend and brother in Christ, Ronnie Babin, who died as a brave “soldier of Christ”, a fellow “man of Manresa” on the 11th of June 2015. Life will not be the same without this man of integrity who had the will and compassion to serve others.
