简介
THE ALBUM: 100% UNCUT GANSTA, D**E BOY, & HUSTLA MUZIK THE SQUAD: G COMMITTEE was formed in 2005 when Carlton "B BABS" Thomas, James "G GUTTA" Kline, and Jarell "PEETY WEE STRAW" Thomas, decided to get "OFF THE BLOCK" and in the studio. Each member of G COMMITTEE is capable of holding his own as an artist and has done so in the "Underground Hip Hop" market. Their music is best described as "RIDA MUZIK". It is a mixture of blazin hot lyrics, catchy hooks, and an impeccable, unprecedented vibe. Their music is sure to keep the streets bangin for a long time to come. G GUTTA'S BIOGRAPHY: From the time HIP HOP entered into the world of music, it has made such a powerful affect on what audiences really heard when they listened to music. HIP HOP was used to transport one’s mind into the world of the artist, so the listeners could visualize how an artist felt through his or her music. More so than that, HIP HOP is centered around the art of story-telling. By combining one’s unique life experiences with the art of HIP HOP, many artists have been and will always be granted the opportunity to elevate to even the highest plateaus. Born July 26, 1980, James Earl Kline was raised on Martin Luther King Boulevard, one of Vicksburg, Mississippi’s roughest neighborhoods. Born into a family of musicians, Kline aspired to someday be a legend in music. At an early age, Kline sought guidance from his absent father, who was a musician. None was given. After several attempts over the years, Kline stopped seeking help from his father and started focusing on entertaining his friends and family with his rhyming skills. After the death of his grandfather, Edgar London, Sr., Kline was without a father figure or a clue on how to conduct himself as a young man. He became troublesome, fighting in school, talking back to his mother, and stealing things from the kids in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. At age 12, Kline started selling drugs for one of the local dealers. A year later, he was arrested for trespassing and simple assault. Shortly after, Kline became affiliated with the Elites of the Vicelords Nation and was initiated into the organization. He then adopted the alias, “Gansta Gutta”, as his street name and used it openly in his rhymes. G. Gutta began to focus more on sharpening his rhyming skills and managed to sneak into local nightclubs on Friday nights and rap against the local heavyweights. After proving himself to be a skilled lyricist, G. Gutta then bought his first keyboard and a four track tape recorder. After spending countless hours in front of his new keyboard, G. Gutta managed to make his first track. While working on improving his tracks, G. Gutta became more and more confident in himself and his future. G. Gutta started offering to do tracks for others for a fee of 50 dollars and gradually moved up to 100, 200, 400, and eventually got between 600 and 1200 dollars for his tracks. As his buzz grew, G. Gutta invested more and more of his money into his studio. G. Gutta had done well locally with his music and decided to start his own label. By the end of 2000, G. Gutta started Banger Boy Records. For the next few years in addition to producing, writing, and recording for not only himself, but other aspiring artists, G. Gutta focused on networking with a variety of underground labels in areas such as New Orleans, Memphis, Atlanta, and Houston. As a result of the success of “OFF THE BLOCK VOLUME 1” in 2004, G. Gutta recruited more artists to his label. Since that time, G. Gutta has continued to add to his arsenal of music equipment, while producing, recording, and developing the skills of others as well as the artists under his label. Do to the overwhelming requests for a sequel to “OFF THE BLOCK VOLUME 1”, which sold more than 10,000 copies locally, G. Gutta released “OFF THE BLOCK VOLUME 2”. It hit the streets on May 16, 2006. Over 7,000 copies were sold within the first two weeks. Currently, G. Gutta is producing and recording his upcoming album entitled,“...AND A MEAN WHIP GAME”, which is scheduled to release the fall of 2008.
