The state motto of North Carolina is Esse Quam Videri, which translates to: To be rather than to seem. This motto resonated truth the moment Greensboro, North Carolina native Kendall McDowell made the decision to operate in his God-ordained calling as a worshipper. Kendall began to hone his gift at a young age by not only studying his gift audibly and lyrically, but always having a very passionate desire and commitment to ministry. Kendall currently serves as a worship leader at The Hungry Church of Greensboro, NC under the leadership of Pastor Marcus Johnson. Kendall is not a flawless individual, but an imperfect resource that God, as his Source, has equipped to reach this generation through the power of praise and worship. Through increasing humility, Kendall has accepted his purpose to destroy the yokes of bondage and restore hope to all of God’s people by exemplifying an inferior (man) - superior (God) relationship through worship. It is Kendall's desire that when you hear him worship, you see God. John 12:32 says, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” (KJV)
