These songs were written over a span of 35 years. Some were written from college heartbreaks, others about the experiences described by friends, still others about various subjects, both fact and fiction. Two were written at the request of my employer, the National Weather Service. Can you guess which ones? My daughters helped on a couple --- Melody did the lead vocal on "Poet In The Land", and Marissa (when she was only 14) on "Coeur d'Alene" (which CD Baby's software insists is "Coeur D'alene"). Selection #7 was written in 1982, so it was not inspired by Alan Jackson's "Gone Country". But I'm a huge Alan Jackson fan!
