Pits are among the oldest running indie rock bands of the 2000’s Tel Aviv music scene. Band members are: Talia Peri, Ory Segal and Tom Kaminski. Recently, the band re-united in order to record and document its 3rd album, “Premeditated Endings”. The songs of the new album were written and shaped into form in the past 7 years by Segal, Peri and Kaminski, as well as Jonathan Ydov, who was the band’s bassist until 2013. The lyrics for one of the album’s songs (Valhalla) were written by the Israeli poet and author Shimon Adaf. "Premeditated Endings” was recorded during a period of 4 intensive days at Pluto Studios in Tel-Aviv with the help of Ami Shalev (Monotonix) and Noam Levinberg. The recording was done while all three band members played live in one studio room, in order to document and preserve the live sound and provide the listener with an accurate and sharp listening experience. Mixing and mastering were done at Louder Studios, CA. by Tim Green, who worked with a long list of bands and artists, among which are the Melvins, Joanna Newsom and the Monotonix.
