Kitra Williams KITRA WILLIAMS, was voted outstanding in her renown leading role performances with Bishop T. D. Jakes' masterpiece stage play, "Woman, Thou Art Loosed." Tyler Perry's, "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman" and Oprah Winfrey's Broadway Musical ,"The Color Purple" Kitra sold out to performances throughout the country sending audiences on a emotional roller coaster! As former Musical Director of the Boys and Girls Clubs, through out the states as well as five breaches (Located Long Beach California), Kitra gained the confidence and love of parents abroad. They insisted and frequently requested her skills as a private vocal and theatrical coach. Kitra began cultivating the talents of youth while combining it with education! She enhanced their communication skills through the art of expressive writings in literally works that encourage positive messages of hope. She became affectionally known through out the schools districts as, 'The Singing Sub!" "Entertainment was the only way I could gain control of the class!"Kitra says. Kitra is founder of "the Agape Gospel Theater and Film Awards, an awards ceremony honoring multi-culture, and underprivileged youth through family based film, theater and cartoon animation! Kitra teaches youth that true healing comes from sharing your story. Kira founded the Agape Awards as a platform for youth to vent in a positive way while receiving national exposure! It's concept is only preceded by her experience performing with some of the biggest names in Gospel theater as well as the Entertainment industry. Kitra has performed as lead singer for Bet’ s own Dr. Bobby Jones as a "New Life Singer," as well as appeared with Industry greats such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Chan, Yolanda Adams, Vickie Winans and most recently, American Idol Star, "Fantasia" on Broadway with "The Color Purple."
