Meet J.Tyler

Raised in Detroit and bred in Florida, John Davis known simply as “J Tyler” started playing the keyboard at age 15, quickly learning to focus his lyrical ingenuity and cultivate his talent, and by 2002 he began seriously writing and recording music. In his youth J Tyler was influenced by the music of The Winans Family and Stevie Wonder., and later became inspired by fresh acts like

Michael Bubl’e, Musiq Soulchild, and John Legend. His work is engaging diverse new school styles, blending quintessential Motown sound elements with Southern fare to produce neo soul and Christian music. With music infused in him at an early age, this up and coming soloist and musician has been touching crowds up and down the I-4 corridor. He has recently found his way into the hearts and ears of listeners everywhere. J Tyler has performed in a workshop choir with Richard Smallwood, Ron and Marvin Winans. He also has performed with D. Jakolby and Juda Lyfe (Freedom to Worship, 2012) which is available on itunes. Recently he was the opening artist for the 2013 Workforce Summit in Orlando, FL. He has certainly taken the Christian neo-soul scene by storm. From Florida to Detroit, J Tyler has a growing following and for good reason. He brings a raw talent that is familiar and yet refreshingly unique to the Christian and Neo-Soul sound.
