These songs reflect the experiences of someone compelled to find work in another country - in this case Vancouver, Canada, Yaletown district. It chronicles a life displaced from the familiar - at times melancholy, or novel or strange. They are glimpses of a time and place through the writer's eyes; some factual, some waking dreams, some exaggerations of the mundane. But in total, they give voice to a unique reality. SF Bay Area multi-instrumentalist, Kirk Charles Heydt, has recorded and performed with Sonny Simmons, Jesse DeNatale, Will Oldham, Carolyn Wonderland, Flipper, Pop-O-Pies, Danny Pearson(of American Music Club), and Nino Moschella. Kirk plays all instruments and provides vocals for all songs. Dan Feinstein wrote all lyrics.
