Koots has been around for a while - good friends, good music. We move between our folk roots (coffee houses, college campus, city parks) and sounds and styles that shaped us (Dylan, Beatles, Lightfoot, etc). For example, in this album, Robin does a pretty good Dylan piece with "You Ain't No Marilyn Monroe." Give it a listen and see what you think. The first song has a few Beatles overtones. We do enjoy trying our hand at these different styles.
