My music and lyrics are very romantic and nostalgic. They hark back in their style and sensibility to the popular music in vogue prior to the Second World War. I admire the songs of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, etc.

My favorite song from that era is "Skylark" with music by Hoagy Carmichael and lyrics by Johnny Mercer.
