Debut EP “Condemned to Dream” is inspired mostly by stories that were born caged in music and never came out to be true. With a classical music background, Monica Lyrae uses a non-conventional instrumentation and musical arrangements in a typical structure of a popular song. Strings, piano, pads and other elements can be found in this album containing three original songs, one original piano instrumental piece and two of these songs with a spanish version. The first song ever to be played in public was "Siempre, Nunca, Algún día" (spanish version of My dear fool) in the 2009 Songwriting Festival at the Prepa Tec (Festival de la Canción) winning the prize for Best Lyrics and 3rd place for Best Song. Finally in the year 2012, Monica decided to record an EP and will be released in September 2013.
