简介
YOUNG BOSS started out in the rap game by just rapping at the lunch table at school. He then began frequently free-styling and clowning around with his people. In 2003 one of his close and personal friends told him to put out a mix cd. That same month, he took that advice and ran with it. He created a mixed cd, and in the process, he fell in love with making music. During the next couple of years,,YOUNG BOSS balanced music, with running the streets by dropping an occasional mixed tape. Boss was blessed with the name “Young Boss” by his home boy Kemp, who noticed his hustle at the age 21, and jokingly asked; “What you think you a Young Boss or something?” In 2006, during the making of the mixed tape “Bleach On Da Streets Vol. I” the cd fell into the hands of a legendary Kansas City disc jockey, by the name of DJ RICE. Soon after the initial meeting of YOUNG BOSS & DJ RICE came numerous collaborations, they birthed the album titled “Hood Melodies”. The album gained a wide range of fans, and created a buzz that immediately caught the ear of The Kansas City (and “55th Street Legend”) Black Walt. Young Boss and Black Walt quickly linked up and agreed to collaborate, and start a movement - “The Groovy Movement” which is also the name of his current sophomore album being released under ILIMAF ENT.
